To coincide with the launch of 'Architects2' the Architecture Foundation organized an exhibition for the featured architectural practices to display their work.

The format of the exhibition was a suitcase: a box not larger than A1 size that can be transported easily from one venue to the next.

To exhibit architecture is often unsatisfactory- due to the nature of the originals one mostly sees representations.

The value of these are mainly self referential- they simply mirror and foster the streamlined distortion and control through mediation.

Our working processes are geared towards spatial experience rather than image. Hence we decided to give an insight into its mechanics and implications.

The case contains a striation of vertical layers of perspex - determining a rigid threedimensional graph.

The intersection of the folded models with this orthogonal structure thus establishes twodimensional outlines that correlate to traditional sectional means of architectural design and representation.

The case highlights how in our work these parameters are needed to describe and transcribe the folded geometries for construction and communication purposes.

Yet is becomes clear that the inserted shapes, working models of three projects currently on site, go beyond cartesian logic and cannot be reduced to twodimensional representation.
